Earlier today, OnePlus announced that it has paused the rollout of the OxygenOS 3.2.0 software update for the OnePlus 3. The young smartphone maker says that users have reported issues with updating their phones.
The company started pushing the OxygenOS 3.2.0 OTA update for the OnePlus 3 yesterday, with plans to complete the rollout in 48 hours. Aside the usual bug fixes and performance optimizations, the update notably fixes a problem with poor RAM allocation that essentially restricted users from making full use of the 6GB of RAM equipped on the OnePlus 3. The same update also unlocks the sRGB display mode option in the Developer Settings, enhances the audio quality, and includes the latest Android security patch.
The company says that users have encountered problems with updating their OnePlus 3 units to OxygenOS 3.2.0, although more details on the extent and severity of these issues have not been disclosed.
The OnePlus 3 integrates some pretty impressive hardware specifications for a $400 smartphone. The update claims to fix most of the things that we disliked about the handset during our OnePlus 3 review, but it looks like it's current version still needs some ironing out.
